Hi all, I'm completing my 2022-23 self-assessment - during that tax year I fully repaid my student loan. Do I select YES or NO to the following question: Did you receive notification from Student Loans Company that repayment of an Income Contingent Student Loan began before 6 April 2023? Thanks

Hi,

You should declare the amounts that were repaid through PAYE on the return.

If you contact us 72 hours after you submitted the return we can refer you to our
Student Loans Unit who can review the calculation .

See website:

Self Assessment: general enquiries   .

Thank you.

Hi HMRC Thanks for getting back to me. Does this mean I should select yes to having an income contingent loan even though it's fully repaid? I've noticed in some other threads that HMRC has advised people to select No - if the loan is fully repaid. Hi Ali,

If you select yes then the return can be amended by the Student Loans Unit within HMRC.

Thank you.
