I am retired and income declared in my self assessment is limited to state pension, private pension and interest on savings. Why does my completed self assessment not show a tax calculation even though I have exceeded the basic rate of tax threshold? Self assessment not yet submitted.

Hi Stuart Humphreys,
It depends on your level of income and the starting rate for savings it could be that your income woud not reach the taxable threshold.
To check you would need to contact HMRC to review. Self Assessment: general enquiries
Thank you.
