Hi, I work in a UK university. I have visited a university in Italy for research purposes for 11 days. To cover my accommodation and subsistence, the Italian university offered me 700 EUR. 1. Do I need to do self-assessment for this? 2. Can I claim trading allowance? Thank you!

As its below the £1000 trading allowance you do not need to declare it on self assessment.
