Hi, I have a 20 month Basis period to report (12 months in the Standard part and 8 in the Transition part). I am completing the Self Assessment through the HMRC site. When entering the 20% of Transition Profit in to the "Spread of Transition Profit" box, the notes say this will be added in to the taxable profit for the year but it doesn't. Is this an error with the site?

Hi

Not that we are aware of. Please view the full calculaton at the end to review your profit. You can submit and then call us after 72 hours to review it.

Thanks

Yes, when I say not included in the profit mean on the Full Calculation page. So the income from self employment for the year is lower than it should be.

I also do not want to submit without it showing the correct figure as it is impossible to call. I have tried many times to call to query this and can either not get through at all or have sat on hold for over an hour just to be cut off before speaking to someone.
