Hi I was working for a Chinese delivery unaware I had to do my own tax as everything was cash in hand I've spent that money on various upkeeping for my life and my car was destroyed because of it and neglect from my part what should I do thanks. Unsure please help. I did a quick calculation prob earnt a profit of 1020 over the 2 years of work

Hi 

If the turnover each tax year was over £1000 you will still need to complete a tax return.

The due date for filing your return is 31 January 2024 for income received in 2022 to 2023.

Unfortunately I have missed the due date I'm sincerely apologise what should I do now? Do I still file one can I also ask for assistance on how I do this

Hi,
If you are due to file a 2022/23 Self Assessment then yes you would still need to file the tax return and if a late filing penalty is charged.
You can appeal:
Check when to appeal a Self Assessment penalty for late filing or late payment
