Dear Sirs, I filed self assessment tax return for tax year 2021/2022, 2022/2024 and 2023/2024 by SA Form. And I have government gateway login and never file tax return online. From government gateway message box, there is a message for me as following. "Stopping Self Assessment This message was sent to you on 01 October 2024 You don't have to send a tax return after the year ended 5 April 2024 unless: -your financial circumstances change -HM Revenue and Customs tell you to" I have only £50 foreign interest income for tax year 2024/2025. 1. Can I still file tax return by paper form for tax year 2024/2025? 2. What does it mean "your financial circumstances change"? Could you pls give me some example? 3. What does it mean for "reactivate self assessment" and "reactivate UTR"? Is it same? Thanks

Hi,
  1. You can, though please contact us to let us know that you intend to do so. You can let us know here, by re-registering, Check how to register for Self Assessment, or by contacting our Self Assessment team.
  2. We mean that if your circumstances change in way that you fulfill the criteria to file a Self Assessment return again. You can confirm these criteria, and whether you need to file, here: Check if you need to send a Self Assessment tax return
  3. It is the same, and you can do this via the re-registration process given in 1.
Thank you.
