Repayment still pending

Hello I submitted my tax return 6th of April sent the documents for the security checks and was all approved but they have still not realised the payment saying now a specialist teams needs to review it told me up to 22/08/2023 I’ve been waiting months does anyone know what’s going on?

If the security checks are passed, the details still need to be passed on for the repayment to be issued. This can take up to 8 weeks.
