Hi there And yet another question about opening two ISA accounts in the same year. In my case, I opened two Stock and Shares ISAs accounts (with different providers: Naguard and InvestEngine), but contributed to only one account. Would that be a problem? At the time I didn't know that this could be an issue. Thank you in advance.

Hi
Strictly one should be closed but as no funds have been added there is no benefit.

Hi, thank you for this. Just to clarify - I should then close the one that I didn't contribute to, correct? Do also I need to report this issue to the HMR? Thank you again.

Hi Priscilla Gomes

You should contact your ISA providers and make them aware of the situation.  They will be able to advise you of the next course of action and which ISA should be closed.

Thank you
