I have moved abroad and have just discovered that completing an online tax return Self-Assessment is not possible from overseas on the HMRC website. I have had to pay to submit this year's Self Assessment tax return for 2022-2023, this is now submitted. However, I have historical years I have requested to send in, if I do this now via paper express post to the UK will I be charged a late fee on 2021-2022 return? I am recently in receipt of NRL and need to lodge previous years tax returns. Thanks.

Hi LDT,
As a non resident landlord, tax returns are needed each year and the 21/22 is now late whether submitted online or by paper and a late filing penalty
will be applied, the standard charge is £100.
Thank you.
