Hi, Having a real issue here, total business income for the year ending '23 was 80650.00. The return will not accept this and says there is an error and that this figure needs amending. The following appears at the top of the page: The amount entered for 'Turnover - takings, fees, sales or money earned by your business' exceeds the maximum annualised amount allowed for this field. Please amend or complete the full self employment pages instead. I have no idea why it will not accept this as it is under £85k, please can someone advise, thankyou.

Hi
Have you perhaps selected 'no' to the question ""Did you have an annual turnover of £85,000 or more?"".  Please also only use whole pounds.  Round up or down the pence to your benefit.

I'm having same issue. Will accept smaller numbers but not 80k or anything above that?

Hi Francesca, Nicolette and John,
Please see the guidance at: Self-employment (short) notes ensuring that the correct boxes have been ticked, no pence figure or commas have been included and resubmit.
If the error message continues to occur please complete the full self employment pages. You can do this by omitting to tick the box advising that your turnover is less than £85,000. Please then complete box 15 for your turnover (and if turnover remains below £85,000) then insert total expenses in Box 31.
If you still encounter error messages then please contact Technical support with HMRC online services or Self Assessment: general enquiries
Thank you.

I have the same issue, despite only needing to declare £6,850?
