Notification of payment due

Hello. Historically I have received notifications of tax due by post following submission of a self assessment return but this year I received no such notification. Have notifications ceased now? I am also unable to ascertain if my self assessment form has been assessed or not. Again, historically there used to be a status message on my account page indicating if HMRC had completed the assessment. Has this also ceased? Thank you.
