Hello, I received an event chargeable certificate for a deceased family member. The certificate was sent to me. Do I put this on my own personal tax return, or I need to put this on the tax return of the deceased person. If it is the deceased persons tax return, how do I go about notifying HMRC that I need to do a deceased persons tax return? Could I do this by sending a letter with a copy of the event chargeable certificate & wait for HMRC to contact me? Thanks in advance, I somehow confused on this?

Hi,
If the certificate is in the deceaseds name then you will need to sent it in to
HMRC PAYE & Self Assessment
BX9 1AS.
If in your name, it is you who reports it.
Thank you.
