Property allowance V Management fee expenses

Hi Folks, Just new and renting a small flat and trying to figure all this stuff out.. Am I right in saying you can't claim your £1000 property allowance and also claim your property company management fee at the same time. Is it either one or the other. My management charges about £900 per year. Thanks Jim

You are correct.  You can either claime the property income allowance or expenses, but not both.
