"You have said that you had tax refunded or set-off by us or Jobcentre Plus in the tax year 6 April 2023 to 5 April 2024. Please complete the following question." For my monthly payslips in tax year 2023-2024, in Sept 2023 my employer introduced a salary sacrifice scheme (for pension contributions), which I opted in for. In the next four months payslips (oct 23 to jan 24) I received a tax refund of approx £160 for each of the four months. For feb 24 payslip, I received a tax deduction of £20. The last payslip for that tax year, mar 24, it increased to around £250 tax deduction. On my end of year P60, total tax paid is around £7000. Can you please clarify if I need to answer no to the above question? These 'tax refunds' look like a mid year adjustment due to taking the salary sacrifice option, and from what I can understand from the question it appears to be asking about tax refunds that are not done through PAYE payslips. Can you please clarify?

Hi,
You would answer no as the refund was from your employer through your wages.
Thank you.
