Hi, My situation is, in 2022/23 tax year, I don’t have any job or other income. I just received a total of around £3000 HK & UK bank saving interest, which is less than £18570 personal allowance (= Personal Allowance (£12570) + Starting rate for savings(£5000) + Personal Savings Allowance (£1000)). I’ve also completed the Self Assessment tax return check recently and the result mentioned that I DO NOT need to file a Self Assessment tax return. For my situation, do I need to declare and file the Self Assessment tax return for 22/23 tax year? I’m confused because some people say YES, some say NO and the system check says NO as well. Please advise and confirm. Thanks.

Hi Maxx,
If you are going through the criteria checker and getting the answer no, then you don't need to complete a return.
Thank you.
