Hi, I left the UK permanently some years ago. I have been filing a self-assessment return because of receiving rental income from my house in the UK. I have now sold this house (I have paid capital gains tax). I haven't visited the UK since I left. What form do I send to inform HMRC that I'm no longer a UK resident and where do I send it? Many thanks.

Hi,
When you file the last return for the year the rental income was received, tick the box to show that it has ceased and this will close the record.
Alternatively use the options available here Self Assessment tax returns: If you no longer need to send a tax return
Thank you
