Hi there, is there a possibility to see an actual account balance? The balance listed in the BTA VAT Account Overview seems not to be accurate. The column "Returns" does not include the last 4 VAT Returns which have been submitted on time. Can I see a complete balance via my MTD software or do I need to request one by HMRC in writing. If yes how does it work. Thanks for your reply.

Hi,
We are unable to provide a copy of your VAT account in writing.
However if you call the VAT Helpline on 0300 200 3700 they can advise of the current balance over the phone.
We cannot advise on the services provided within your MTD software as each package is different.
Please contact your software provider for details of the services they can supply.
