I have a residential cleaning business based in West Midlands which is doing fine we did well last year and many clients are asking us for window cleaning services. I am planning to open a new company just for window cleaning business so I can offer it to homes as well as offices in my area. Would I have to pay VAT for it if together both companies passed 90,000 threshold or will those two companies considered as two different businesses. There won’t be any connections between two companies except that I will be director in both companies.

If you have 2 separate limited companies, then these would be treated separately for VAT registration requirements.
