Clarification on the Processing Time for Second VAT Return Repayment

I am writing to seek clarification regarding the processing time for my second VAT return repayment, which I submitted on the 9th of September. My first VAT return was successfully audited, and the repayment was processed after approximately one month. Given that my first return has already been audited, I am wondering why there appears to be a delay in processing the second VAT repayment. Will I be required to submit additional supporting evidence for this second return as well? If so, when should I expect to receive the official request for such documentation?

Any VAT return submitted as a repayment claim may be checked and verified by HMRC.
