If the UK apartment that you rented from 8 April 2022 was your only home at that time, the UK part of the year would (per Split Year Treatment:
Case 4) commence on that date. Please refer to RDRM12160 to check that you meet the conditions for Case 4.

You would use the same UTR and update your return when filing.
You may also need to register to pay class 2 National Insurance if you are not also employed under PAYE - please take a look at Self-employed National Insurance rates

You need to allow 72 hours from submitting the online return to call us. Once you do, we will send a referal for the refund to be issued.
This can take up to 10 weeks to be processed.
