  • Smoke alarms and carbon monoxide alarms

I had an electrician chang the battery smoke alarms for hard wired smoke alarms and add carbon monoxide alarms to my rental property to comply with the new regulations. As these are solely for the use of the rental property, can I claim as tax deductible and if so which box on the tax return does the expense go in. Thank you.
