Selling a part share of domestic property
I own a property outright and my partner intends to live there in the foreseeable future. At the moment only my name is on the title deeds. My partner would like to buy a part share in the property once this happens and also have her name added to the deeds. This would be done via solicitors. What I would like to know is if by selling a part share in the property in these circumstances would make me liable for tax on the selling price and would it make any difference if we were subsequently married?
