  • Second Job (Casual) Tax?

Hi all I make 27000 a year in my main role but since the last two months, I have been helping out with one of my family members, who have been paying me for this (though I said to them I wanted to help them for free)! I filled in one of the HMRC forms stating it was my second role etc, but I’m not sure if this was needed as it’s going to be a casual care arrangement and will never go over £1000. My queries are: Can I count this towards the “trading allowance?” Or does it go down as a taxable income? I did fill in the form as mentioned up above but it’s not yet shown on my HMRC account upon logging in. Maybe it takes time to update? Thank
