Hi HMRC Last year I left my PAYE job and became self employed from 24/04 to 31/08 through the CIS scheme. I had benefits in kind with my previous employer such as a company car and health plan. Can you please let me know if those benefits in kind would have continued to affect my tax even though I was self employed and on CIS. I’m asking because when I went back into being a PAYE in September I still got taxed on these benefits in kind even though they were from my previous employer and my new employer did not offer these to me, so I kept getting taxed more each month because of this.
