RE: Class 2 (abroad) National Contributions paid but not appearing on my online record.
You are suggeating to "write to us with details of your payment". May I please ask what is the address to write to you to? Thank you. -
RE: Mechanism for paying class 2 NI contributions from abroad
Thank you for your reply. Do I understand correctly that I can use the same reference for paying both class 2 and class 3 NICs? I want to emphasize that I currently live overseas, but want to pay from my UK account for periods that I worked abroad. In other words, I want to make a single total payment for both class 2 and class 3 with a reference in the format "NIN followed by ‘IC’ then surname then initial". I hope this is correct approach. -
RE: Mechanism for paying class 2 NI contributions from abroad
I tried to, but could not get connected. Un any case, by simple math, I know that I have to pay this if I want to get full state pension. I only started paying in my mid 30s, so there is no way I can avoid paying it. -
RE: Mechanism for paying class 2 NI contributions from abroad
I live abroad, and applied to pay back voluntary NICs using the form CF83. HMRC recently replied with a letter listing a mix of class 2 and class 3 contributions for different years. My question is: can/should I pay everything in one go (my preference)? Or should I pay class 2 and class 3 separately? It looks like the bank details are the same, regardless of the NIC class. -
Paying voluntary NIC contributions from overseas
Hi everyone, I would like to pay voluntary NICs for the periods that I lived and worked overseas (I currently live abroad, but I plan to return to the UK in the next couple of years). I already completed CF83 form and received a reply from HMRC, which listed about 10 years of shortfall that I can pay to top up my balance (a separate number to pay was provided for each year). What I am not clear about is whether I need to pay all of it in one go, or if I can pay year by year?
