Hi, I live and work overseas and requested to pay Class 2 NICs for previous years. I completed the relevant form over 18 months ago, and you asked for more information about 6 months ago. I submitted the extra information and have not received any confirmation about that since. However, I received a letter/form today for Class 2 contributions for the 23/24 tax year. I can only assume that I am eligible to pay previous years at Class 2, but I have not received any information about that. Can you please advise? Thanks.

Hi, I'm living overseas and applied to pay NIC Class 2 over a year and a half ago. I received a letter about a year later asking me to provide further details, which I immediately replied to with all the necessary info. I have not had a response to that letter yet. Today, in the post, I received a letter saying that I can now pay Class 2 NICs for the year 23/24, but I still haven't heard back about my previous years. I'm assuming I'm eligible to pay NIC Class 2 for those years too, otherwise I wouldn't have received this latest request to pay. Please advise. Thanks.
