  • RE: Retrospectively claiming NI credits

Hi, please can you advise how I apply for retrospective National Insurance in two different circumstances: 1) For three tax years (2014-15; 2015-16; 2016-2017) I did not work to raise children. My husband received the child benefit allowance, but as a high income earner, my husband then paid back this tax at the end of the year. We can evidence these monthly child benefit payments through our bank statements. 2) For 2020-2021 I was a full time carer for two children under 18, however we were not in receipt of any child benefit at this time. I have gaps in my NI contributions for these years and understand I am eligible to claim this back. Please advise who/where I email or which forms I should complete. Many thanks
