I am trying to get a rough idea of how much national insurance I will be due for when I do my tax return next year. I receive income (profit) from self employment. I understand that the threshold for NI contributions is £12,570 profit. I also receive income from a pension. Can you tell me if pension income is included towards the threshold for NI contributions, or it is solely income/profit from my self employment that counts? Thank you.

I started working as a self employed off payroll worker in April this year so will need to send in a self assessment for the tax year 23-24 next year. My question is when to I need to *register* as I do not need to send a self assessment form for 22-23 as I was an employee at that time. Thanks in advance
