RE: Company SIP and Performance shares
So are they classed as allowable earnings for tax relief? If I earn X + the share proceeds this year can I get tax relief up to all or just up to X? Thanks -
Company SIP and Performance shares
I recently sold some of my company shares built up through SIP and variable pay performance shares, I would like to put the proceeds into my SIPP. Can I do this? I paid tax on the SIP shares on purchase and when the performance shares vested. Thanks -
Incorrect SIPP contribution
Hi, for 23-24 I wanted to put all of my earnings into my SIPP. The numbers are made up for simplicity. Earned Income: 20,000 say I paid 5000 at 40% tax rate for the year across earnings and pension. Tax at 20% (BR) 15000 *0.2 = 3000 Tax at 40% 5000 * 0.4 = 2000 Total = 5000. So I think the following is correct, Add 15000 and get 20% RAS of 3750 = 18750 Claim 1250 using self assessment. Total in SIPP = 18750 + 1250 = 20000 Added 15000 Tax back = 3750 + 1250 = 5000 However, I've just taken 20000*0.8 = 16000 and got 4000 RAS. I added 16000 instead of 15000 and missed out on the 40% additional through a tax return. Can I correct this? Can I still claim the 1250 and use the extra 1000 I paid in against 24-25 Income. Or is there nothing I can do now? Many Thanks -
Probate, expected estate, property valuation
In the case of an expected estate, is an estate agent valuation sufficient for a property valuation? Or can it be based on property sales locally without the need for one? -
Moving my personal allowance to my pension
I have a company pension greater than my personal allowance. I also work on a flexible contract. My PA is 100% against the employment income. The income next year will fall below the PA as I plan to take a break. My pension is taxed at basic rate. It would make sense to move the PA to the pension. How do I do this? Thanks -
RE: Can an inheritance be paid into a SIPP?

RE: Can interest on bank savings be paid into a SIPP?
Do I subtract the savings personal allowance and add 80% of the remainder? or just add 80% of the total gross interest? Thanks -
RE: Can interest on bank savings be paid into a SIPP?
Just to clarify. It doesn't count towards my total earning for this tax year? So as long as I don't go over my pension contribution allowance I can add it to my SIPP and gain tax relief? But it can only be interest earned in the current tax year. Thanks -
RE: Can an inheritance be paid into a SIPP?
Can you clarify please? Is the inheritance classed as nett or gross income? If I incurred 40% tax overall after including the it. Can I claim 40% tax relief using self assessment? Can I wait until the next tax year to add the inheritance? Thanks -
