VAT payment plan - HELP PLEASE!
Hi, I have been trying to call HMRC re setting up a VAT payment plan since more than 2 weeks now. After trying all numbers mentioned on the website, I got through to the large debt team on Tuesday, 21st May (VAT due is > GBP 350k), They took all the information they needed and said that we would receive a call back confirming the payment plan. On asking if there is a reference number or ticket no. that we can quote, they said unfortunately there is none and that we would have to go through the entire process of calling them up and getting patched through to the large debt collection team all over again! Till date we haven't received any calls from HMRC to confirm the payment plan. I have been trying to call HMRC again since a couple of days, to no avail. Waiting all this time, the VAT due is now also subject to penalties as it has crossed the time limit to make the payment without penalties. It's very unfortunate that there is no other way we can get in touch with HMRC apart from calling the customer care number. PLEASE HELP!
