Married couples allowance transfer and self assessment
I am currently completing my Self Assessment for tax year 2023 to 2024. I have previously transferred £1,260 of my personal allowance to my husband which is reflected in my tax code for that year. I have not submitted my tax return yet, however when I view my calculation it appears if shows the full personal allowance which I suspect is giving rise to a overpayment figure of £138. Can you please advise how this can be corrected on the return to get the correct calculation. -
Santander Dividend Re-investment Plan (DRIP)
I hold a small amount of Santander shares and have taken the option to have any dividends used to purchase further shares with Santander under the Santander Dividend Re-Investment Plan (DRIP). Gross dividends have Spanish Withholding Taxes deducted before being used to purchase further shares. Does this have to be included in my Self Assessment. -
Dividend Re-Investment Plan
I am completing a self assessment for the first time. I have a small number of shares but have elected to have any dividends due used to obtain further shares under a Dividend Re-Investment Plan instead of having the dividends paid to me. Do I have to declare this on my self assessment.
