RE: where to put expenses on SA (partnership)
Hi,
When completing the actual partnership return, if your turnover is less than £85000 you will complete boxes 3.24-3.26 to show income less expenses. If higher than £85000 you need to complete boxes 3.27-3.73 to give the breakdown of expenses. You woill then need to adjust the profit split for each partner to then have this figure on your own tax return.

RE: Deductible property expenses
Hi,
Please see:
PIM2005 - Deductions: general rules
As it is your personal choice to rent a safety deposit box to keep the title deeds then this is not regarded as an expense which is wholly and exclusively for business purposes and is therefore not an allowable expense.

RE: Tax on foreign income in 2022/2023
Hi,
On the basis of the info provided, 2022/23 would be regarded as a 'split year' for tax purposes, and you would only have to declare the income received from the date you became resident in the UK. Being in receipt of Self-employed income is one of the criteria for Self Assessment , so you should register for Self Assessment as a sole trader and complete a 2023 return.
