Hi, I have registered the self assessment for more than 20 days now, but still not received the UTR. How long it normally takes to wait for a UTR ? And where I could check the status in case there is something wrong with my registration ? (I am to file the self assessment for year 2022/2023, and so wish to have the UTR and hence file the tax as early as possible) Thank you.

Hi, I have tried to create an account in the Government Gateway in order to register the self-assessment for my family member. However, it fails to prove her identity either via the UKID Check app, or by providing the details (she has none of the two documents as requested). What she can do now ? Thank you.

Hi, further to above reply. May I clarify that, if someone is receiving the OALA from Hong Kong (which is only taxable in Hong Kong) while no other income, does s/he require to file the Self Assessment Tax Return ? Thank you.
