Using public transport to temporary work
Hi team, Your website mentions very clearly about the tax relief rate of 45p for using the personal vans/cars to travel to temporary workplace. Whereas there is no meaningful information available that how will you treat the expenses incurred on public transport. Will the whole amount of fare to temporary workplace be used or there are some generically set rates for this too similarly to mileage rate. Kindly illuminate on this. -
Travel relief expenses
Good afternoon As it is now widely known that car fuel expenses can be requested to adjust against the income tax from paye job. But I am wondering that whether the same applies too in a situation where a paye employee use buses/trains to go to his temporary workplace and employer isn't contributing anything. -
RE: Second job tax
Hi There is no statutory requirement to update the main employer about second job. So I am wondering that can the main employer finds out that you are working elsewhere despite your main job is under normal tax code? Does HMRC reveal this information to employer? Thanks
