RE: High Income Child Benefit Charge - Tax Code Change
Hi Taxtax,
You would need to declare the BIK on your Self Assessment tax return.
Your 2023/24 tax code has been adjusted to collect tax on the BIK in the current tax year.
You will not pay tax on the BIK twice as the tax paid is for 2 different tax years.

RE: Current self assessment position is "nothing to pay" - when will this be updated?
Hi Alex Glasgow,
The payments on account are not shown on the calculation.
You will be credited with the payments on account on your statement of account which will update the balance due for 31 January.
If you check your current statement it should show any payments becoming due 31 January.
If you cannot find this online if you contact HMRC we can advise of payments becoming due.
