RE: Assistance with alternative way to receive payment from HMRC
Hi Paulo.SE,
We cannot issue a repayment into a overseas bank account.
If you are unable to cash the cheque in Sweden you can submt to a UK bank account if you still have one or we can repay the cheque to a nominee for you.
To cancel and reissue the cheque you will need to contact HMRC. Contact HMRC
Thank you.

RE: Sa1 form submitted but no reply more than 3 weeks
Hi A.TH.F Fung,
Yes once your Self Assessment record has been set up you will receive a letter with your Unique Tax Referance, UTR.
Once you receive the UTR you can then enrol to file your Self Assessment online and at that time you will be able to access the 2021/22 & 2022/23 tax returns.
Thank you. -
RE: Paying in instalments for Self Assessment return
Hi EvaLondon,
If the balance from your Self Assessment for the 2022/23 tax year is less than £3000 and you want the balance to be collected in your tax code 2024/25 then the tax return needs to be received by 30 December 2023 and processed by 31 December.
Thank you. -
RE: Calculating adjusted net income for tax free childcare / 30 free hours
Hi Katie Allsopp,
If your pension contributions are deducted from your wage before the tax is calculated then you have received relief for these contributions and you do not deduct again for the adjusted net income. So if your taxable income was £101,000 which is your gross income minus the £6000 pension contributions then the £101,000 is the net adjusted figure.

RE:Non-Reporting Fund
Hi BritishAl23,
Please refer to guidance at IFM13100 (IFM13100 - Offshore Funds: Participants in offshore funds: introduction: background to the treatment of UK investors in offshore funds)
which states UK investors in non reporting funds are chargeable to IT on any distribution the fund actually makes to them. This guidance is regarding the charge to IT only and not CGT.
