RE: Extraterritorial costs and foreign income
Hi JohnnieHuman,
This is a round sum expense allowance EIM05100 - Employment income: round sum expense allowances and would be assess/allow with
actual allowable expenses being claimed on SA return.
Thank you. -
RE: Selling my ESPP shares - Section 104 considerations
Hi Burtgang,
The only situation where specific shares can be identified is where bed and breakfasting applies. CG13370 - Bed and breakfasting: shares and securities
Otherwise the S104 pool rules apply. CG51500 - Share identification rules: introduction
Thank you. -
RE: CGT on Main Residence Property
Hi timothysycheung,
As the 9 months is for the final period of ownership, you were actually living in it until March.
As sold in June you were only out for 3 months so 6months of the final 9 you were living in it.
As such you would only add 3 to the 198 to work out your relief - 198+3/12
Thank you. -
RE: Income Tax - Pre-Owned Asset
Hi AMTAX,
Its not clear what you are actually looking for here - is it capital gains or rental income?
Thank you. -
RE: Tax credit overpayment
Hi Andrew Cole,
Unfortunatly I am unable to provide an individual response as I am unable to review your records.
I suggest that you ring the Tax Credit helpline (not the payment helpline) on 0345 300 3900 and ask for an explanation of how the overpayment occurred
or write to the Tax Credit Office to ask for an explanation.

RE: When is the personal savings allowance reduced to £500?
Hi 12312323,
With the property income it would be the net profit so this will be minus the property allowance.
Thank you.
