  • Certificate of tax residence

Good evening, I have been living in the UK since 2018 - first studying in 2018, and then working since 2019. I have obtained a letter of confirmation of residence from HMRC for the period since I started working. However I also need this letter to cover the period during which I was living in the UK without any income (2018), which HMRC has no record of. I was studying full-time and spent >183 days of the 2018 year in the UK, so I should definitely be a UK tax resident during that period, but I am struggling to get proof of this, which the tax authority in my home country requires. How can I obtain this? Can I submit evidence to HMRC of having lived in the UK since 2018, and receive the CoR including that period? Thank you in advance for your help.
