Income over 50K in Jan 2023 for Child benefit charge?
Hello, My gross income before tax went over 50K last year in Jan 2023. For the tax period 2022-2023 this increase is only for 3 months. My P60 shows income below 50 in the box Total for the year. And same figure "in this employment". Do I still register for self assessment for high income Child Benefit charge pay back? This year the threshold is going up to 60K earning from April 2024. So what happens for earnings from Jan2024 to 6th April 2024, when the threshold is 50K? Thank you, B.
