Charged VAT by eBay and again by DHL
I recently bought an item on Ebay from the EU (Czech Republic) for £130.
Ebay added £26 as VAT making the item £156.
DHL are now holding the item stating VAT and duties need to be paid on the item.
These were then calculated from the £156. So the item now totals £201.
Is this correct?
The seller has stated it wasn't them that collected the vat but eBay. And now DHL of course.
Any advice?
