RE: Voluntary NI contributions having only Starter credits
Dear HMRC 19 thank you for your very prompt response. Regarding the clause" If you live or work abroad (or have previously) To pay Class 2 or Class 3 voluntary contributions you must have either::- ●previously lived in the UK for 3 years in a row ●paid contributions or had Class 2 contributions treated as having been paid for at least 3 years" My questions are as follows:- 1) Do both conditions need to be satisfied i.e previously lived in the UK for 3 years in a row AND paid contributions or had Class 2 contributions treated as having been paid for at least 3 years. ? Or does satisfying ONE of these conditions suffice? 2) Will 3 Years Juvenile Class 3 Starting Credits satisfy the condition "had Class 2 contributions treated as having been paid for at least 3 years"? Because my query relates to someone who was not born in the UK and only lived and worked in the UK for 3 months. -
Voluntary NI contributions having only Starter credits
Can a person with a National Insurance Number who worked for one Summer(3 months) in the UK and has 3 years worth of starters credits make Voluntary national insurance contributions towards a state pension?
