Hello, I have received a tax return cheque, but I'm currently living outside the UK so I'm unable to physically collect it. I also don't have a UK bank account to deposit this cheque. I'm wondering if there's a process that would allow me to send this cheque back and request the cheque's amount to be directly transferred to my friend's bank account in the UK without her needing to interact with the bank or another entity in person, i.e. without her receiving a replacement cheque?
