RE: Setting up a bank account for a limited company
Thank you.
What I actually mean in this post is, is it ok from HMRC's point of view for the company to continue using the existing bank account (if it is not opened in a company name that ends in Ltd? for example NEW COMPANY'LTD') if the bank account provider refuses to chnge the existing bank account name and it remains NEW COMPANY.
The partneship will no longer be running so not using the existing bank account so can they instead use it for the Ltd company? Perhaps withdrawing all funds at the cessation of the partnership and then beginning from 0 balance as the limited company but not changing the name of the company to LTD is that legal?
Or do the banks/account provider decide if this is possible? -
Setting up a bank account for a limited company
Good morning, I am in an existing partnership currently and all partners wish to change our partnership to a limited entity. WE are currently undergoing the necessary paperwork to get the limited company running. We already have an existing business bank account for the partnership. Is it possible to continue to use this business bank account for our limited company when we change to a limited entity or do we need to open a new account? If we can continue to use the existing business bank account (currently being used by the partnership), do we need to change the name on the bank account so that it states it is limited i.e. partnership name Ltd? Or can it remain in the existing name i.e the partnership name? -
RE: Non resident of UK selling services to Uk based clients
Thank you, so I would still need to register for VAT as a NETP though all services would be outside the scope of VAT ? -
RE: Non resident of UK selling services to Uk based clients
I would be supplying bookeeping services from Spain to B2B customers and some B2C customers also (private individuals requiring assistance with preparation of the tax returns from employment/property income. -
RE: Non resident of UK selling services to Uk based clients
So most of my clients are B2B and the reverse charge will apply and the remainder are B2C so not subject to UK VAT as the place of suply will me my resident country. Do I still need to register for UK VAT? -
RE: Non resident of UK selling services to Uk based clients

RE: Non UK resident with state pension
Thank you so much -
RE: Non resident of UK selling services to Uk based clients
Thank you. I have a couple of potential B2B clients who are not VAT registered. So, can I still apply the reverse charge mechanism when I invoice them? Or, do I need to charge UK VAT on their invoices? I'm also assuming hat all sole traders are classed as B2B? -
RE: Non resident of UK selling services to Uk based clients
Thank you. So to clarify. B2C services provided by an overseas business would not be subject to UK VAT as the place of supply is the country the business providing services belongs in (i.e. Spain) However B2B services would be liable to UK VAT? And if the UK business is VAT registered then teh reverse charge would apply? Is this correct? Many thanks -
