RE: National insurance credits with child benefit
Basically I am trying to find out if the NI credits I have are in excess to my needs, dont wish to transfer them to granparent for child care if I will need for my own pension. Just cannot seem to find out how to know if the 52 weeks credit that is shown on my forecast is excess credit or used to make up my full year. Help much appreciated. -

How do I know if the NI credits are in excess. I have worked full time and paid NI in employment, record says full year and 52 weeks NI credit. Is this excess to my need to be counted towards a full pension amd if so is this them safe to transfer NI credit to grandparent for child care with a detrimental impact to my pension situation. Thanks
