Hello, we have also received a letter from HMRC in the name of an unknown person to our home address, and previously from NHS, water services as well. Please can I ask whether the email address in the original post can be used to report this to HMRC? I have returned the suspicious letter to the sender. Thank you!

Hello, I'm self employed and under the 12,570 personal allowance. I’m currently filing my return for 2023-2024 and, in this tax year, I received a small amount of money as inheritance from a relative abroad. I have transferred part of this into a savings account that earns interest (££). It’s under the personal savings allowance limit. To add this to my calculation, am I correct in thinking that in this case it would be would just need to go under „untaxed interest" in the UK interest section? Thank you.
