  • Transfer of propert with Deed of Gift

We would like to transfer one of our propertied with a deed of gift to our son. The apartment is worth £190,000 and there is no mortgage on it. It will be my son's second home and he will use it as a letting property. I would like to know if when transferring the property at no cost to our son there is going to be any stamp duty to be paid.
  • RE: Sending money from abroad to UK account

Hello, I am not a UK resident. If I transfer £20,000 from my UK bank account to the UK bank account of my son who is a UK resident, does he have to pay tax on that amount?
  • NlR1

Hello, My wife and myself were approved a couple of years ago for the NLR1. Our old tenant has moved out and a new tenant has moved in on 5 June. What wall I do? Do I need to provide HMRC with the details of the new tenants? The Assured Shorthold Tenancy Agreement has a clause that informs the tenants that the landlords are non UK residents, provides them with the numbers of our NRL1 authorizations, and instructs them to write to the HMRC.
  • RE: Sending money from abroad to UK account

Thank you for your reply. You said that if I return to the UK, the money I transfer to my UK bank account after selling my house in Turkey will be taxed. What if I were not to come back to the UK but continue to live abroad? Would the money be taxed once it is transferred to my UK bank? Also, what about savings, would they be taxed if I transfer them to my UK bank while I live abroad? I am currently residing full time in Turkey. The tax I currently pay in the UK as non resident are only those rising by the rental income generated by my UK property.

Hi, I have been resident in Turkey for the past 5 years. If I sell my house in Turkey and trasfer the money to my UK account to buy a property in the UK later on, would this money be taxed?
