  • RE: Carrying forward CGT loss

Hi, for SA 23/24 I have A. £900 gains B £0 losses C £2000 carry-over losses from the previous year. Two questions: - I can just declared £900 and continue to carry forward the £2000 correct ? - if next year(24/25) say I have a gain of £7000 and no losses, I can just use £1000 from my carry forward losses to be within the £6000 CGT allowance right ? and carry forward the remaining £1000 ? Thanks!
  • RE: NI Contributions

Right, that makes sense then. Can I ask if there's an HMRC article anywhere about this ?
  • NI Contributions

Hi there, I'm the sole person employed of my family and my wife is looking after the children for many years. Her NI contributions show full year of contributions despite being out of work in the last 5 years. Is it because she's caring for someone and receive child benefit ? I wanted to see if is worth to buy any years for her but when we logged into her account I was surprised to see that. She has some years I could buy back but that was before having kids. So we are confused if that's normal or not seeing all years accredited as full contributions. Thanks.
