Hi, I have been self employed and am now starting a new full time role which requires me to fill out the new starter checklist. The full time role is PAYE and is a fixed term contract with a duration which involves 2 tax years, so I will remain registered for self assessment throughout my employment (as for the tax year periods before and after the contract I will be self employed). So for the new starter form do I select - a) This is my first job since April 6 (as it is my first PAYE job in this period) OR b) since April 6 I have had another job but don't have a P45 (as I have been self employed in this period) OR c) I have another job (as I will remain registered for self assessment although won't earn much from my self employment in this period) I have called HMRC twice and had two different answers so would hugely appreciate some advice!
