CGT owed or not
Hi I own a property that I'm thinking of selling. I have had a long-term lodger of 12 years living in the property with me (extended family member) he paid some of the bills and council tax but no rent at all. I assume that this counts as me having a lodger and not a tenant and therefore I am not eligible for any CGT. Could you please confirm this is correct ?
