Thank you for your question.
As your brother is co-owner, the expenses he pays for his share of the property isn't a consideration when calculating the profit and loss.
We are unable to provide financial advice with regards to the income your mum pays, you will need to consider if you opt for traditional method or rent a room method.Thank you

In terms of mortgage interest, SAIM10030 - Relief for interest paid: general conditions: the claimant - HMRC internal manual outlines that relief.
This may only be claimed by the person/parties who took out the loan/ pays the interest on the loan, so this depends on the terms when the mortgage was initally set up.
So if the mortgage is solely in your name all the relief would be claimed by you.Thank you

RE: Confirmation that HMRC received the letter that informs them of company strike-off
Hi Companies can apply for strike-off and dissolution at any time, but directors are responsible for ensuring that they have dealt with all company assets and liabilities before making an application.
